Liking and Disliking English Class | Spoken English

There are a number of ways of expressing our likes (liking) and dislikes (disliking) and preferences.
LIKE as a verb is used for expressing person’s Preferences.

Example A:
a) I like ice cream.
b) I like to play cricket.

To express liking, we also use words like LOVE, FOND, PREFER, Etc.

Example B:
a) I love chocolates but ‘hate’ figs.
b) I’m fond of comics.
c) I prefer home cooked food for hotel food.
d) I’m crazy about ice creams and chocolates.

etc.
